CO-DIRECTOR
Helping the people in need however I can. Making people feel they're in the right place by doing what they request ASAP. Listening to their problems and trying to find the best solution. Being between them and the social worker as if it is me who needs help. Seeing people happy after I support them. In this situation, people are very in need of any kind of support. That makes me feel I am doing something meaningful and I am taking their pain somehow.Words of wisdom: Everyone will need help one day. For you to find someone to help you that day when it comes, you need to help people in need when you can. In other words, “what goes around comes back around”.

Chloe Esposito
I try to inspire people who haven't yet engaged much with refugees or the issues that affect them to mobilize their capital (monetary, social, cultural etc.) to help us support a population that suffers from dwindling solidarity.
It's completely random that I was born into a family that lived comfortably in a peaceful, stable society but others were not. We all deserve to live in safety and with dignity.

Christianna Vaso
I strive to reshape narratives, raise awareness, and advocate for policies that uphold the dignity and rights of people on the move through our communication channels, campaigns, and events.
Coming from a family deeply connected to migration, I've felt firsthand the challenges of being seen as a foreigner. Supporting people seeking refuge aligns with my commitment to equality and justice.
Words of wisdom: "Neither you nor I could chose the place of our birth, the circumstances, the historical time to which we belong, a handicap or a perfect health. We are geworfen, “thrown” into the life. What must a guest do? He must live among people, wherever they may be." - George Steiner

I provided programme support for LHR, including organising and running sport activities such as football and basketball for kids and youth. The best thing in my job was seeing that, even in a complicated environment, sports allows people to overcome cultural and language barriers to facilitate social integration.
I love sports and I focused my academic studies on migration. Working in this context allowed me to put together my passion for sports with my academic preparation.

Jellina Keulen
When working with LHR, I delivered sport sessions for children, youth and adults from the Ritsona community. As most people are big fans of football, my days include a lot of playing football. Luckily, playing football is also one of my favourite pastimes.
I've always wanted to have a job in which I could contribute something to society. So it was nice to be able to do that everyday in supporting the Ritsona community.
Words of wisdom: On one of the walls around Ritsona Camp, someone has written; You can't cage us, we have wings. So that’s always a sad, but beautiful reminder of perseverance for me personally.
